I found out while at a Wildlife Center in NC that these are called Piebald deer and not albino! The name comes from Pie meaning (mixed up) and bald meaning (having a white spot). Piebald deer are less than 1 percent of the white tail deer population of deer. It is caused from a genetic disorder. Most of the Piebald deer have short legs (just like this one's back left leg) They also have a bowing nose (Called a Roman nose) and a arching spine (scoliosis). An Albino deer has a pink nose, eyes and pinkish hooves but the Piebald has brown eyes, nose and black hooves! edit edit
